UK vs US hip hop

my current project is entitled 'coming to america', it is an exploration of britain's special relationship with america.  within my sketchbook and research journal i am exploring the political relationship between these two countries.  politics touch on all aspects of our culture and society, hip hop is more often a comment on the powers to be.  below i have choosen two tracks, the former from uk artist skitz and the latter from us artist ra the rugged man, both artists i would consider to be underground and unrelenting in their rants on society.
